Over the past 6 years\, PFBF CPAs\, our accounting firm located in Oakland and Bath\, Maine has raised over $100\,000 for various Maine charities with the help and support of race participants and their community.\nBy participating in our race and supporting our charity\, you’re helping someone’s next step to recovery. Kennebec Behavioral Health promotes the well-being of children\, adults\, and families who expereince mental illness\, emotional difficulties or behavioral challenges. KBH has grown to become the primary community mental health and substance abuse treatment center of central Maine.  Funds raised within the community go toward programs such as the Homeless Outreach Program and the High Hopes Clubhouse.\nThe Kids Fun Run will start and finish in the parking lot of PFBF CPAs at 8:30 a.m.\, followed by the 5K Run/Walk at 9:00 a.m.  There is no fee or registration needed for the KIDS FUN Run and each kid will receive BIB #1.\n5K-ers! SUMMARY:Salomon Trail Running Festival at Pineland Farms
DESCRIPTION:The Salomon Trail Running Festival at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester\, Maine\, is a two-day extravaganza of trail races\, beer drinking\, barbecue\, potluck salads and desserts\, old timey music\, and fun family events. Held annually on Memorial Day weekend the current event includes seven races with distances from 5k to 50 miles. Saturday races include a traditional 5K and 10K as well as a Barefoot 5K and Canicross 5K (dog race). Sunday races feature the 25K\, 50K\, and 50 miler. Each race course is an off-road roller coaster on well-maintained XC trails that twist\, turn\, and roll their way through forests and across pastoral\, working farmland. The trails are level\, wide (12?)\, and non-technical with no roots or rocks\, but very hilly. This family friendly event also includes a free Kids’ Zone with obstacles courses and games.
